Where is everyone's favorite source of prepped, ready to prime .223 LC brass? I have found plenty of places that sell it but was curious if there are preferred places to source from. Thanks!

Pickup at the local range. But not ready to load.

If your looking for ready to go LC brass you might have to go to some smaller reloading supplier. Im not sure ive ever seen just prepped LC brass sold. I usually see it sold in "mixed headstamps"

Been wondering the same thing. Have heard you need to watch out for LC brass fired out of SAWs, owing to them having oversized chambers, or some such stuff. Would like to find a source for 1k of prepped, sized LC brass.

I would take unprepped LC brass.

Every place I have looked at has mixed headstamp.
I can get mixed headstamp at the range.

You can blame Obama for this they changed the rules. Military brass has to be destroyed and sold as scrap vs sold to resellers.
Makes perfect sense, resellers pay more than scrap price, and they wonder why we have a 30 trillion debt

There's a guy on SH who does business as downrange brass. He sells very shiny, resized, crimp removed LC brass in large quantities. I've handled a few thousand of them and had the following issues:

- 1 case was ranged with a large primer pocket tool
- about 5 cases had mouths that were folded internally and not fixable
- 100% of the cases have a noticeable inside and outside burr. I have not found an efficient way to remove that short of hand tools.
- the brass has been bumped back a lot, right at or below saami min spec

The price is pretty good though.

I bought 5k processed on Gunbroker a few years back, they have been very good. Probably the best is to buy new Winchester Lake City on Midway on sale for .28 ea.

Didn't even know that was available, with the LC headstamp, thanks for the tip.
Winchester has the contract to run the LC plant. In addition to making ammo for the D.O.D, they are allowed to sell excess on the civillian market (ammo and brass). So this stuff is new and has never had a crimp.

Some of the other forums will have people who sell processed brass. I had someone process about 8000 using a Dillon case processor. Turned out well. If you have a lot of time, just buy a trimmer, a swager and a tumbler. If you don't have time or want to hate yourself, buy processed brass or find someone who does it.

That's perfect, in cart now. I wasn't sure if the "winchester lake city" stuff you can buy loaded had the legit milspec brass, but that Midway product description definitely sounds like the real deal.
