Anyone run this set-up: Base to Base? I went and purchased a Base Tarp Base setup and then went and put a stove jack in one of the bases as well as one in the tarp; family = BTB, solo/duo=BTB. Looking for best set up and pics hopefully on proper pitching. Thanks in advance and happy hunting ya'll!

SO has a good video out on YouTube that shows proper setup. It’s a good modular system.

Basically you pitch one base and then put the cone of the other base over the first cone. stake it out from there.

It's a very simple setup that gives you a lot of room. Only real downside is the two bases don't zip together, so the door is overlapped.

Do you think that could be a problem in extreme weather

Correction : The two bases will zip together BUT the beaks overlap so it's not that aesthetic pleasing and top venting is limited. However, it is very functional ...

I don’t have any pics of that particular set up but we do use it that way. Basically you zip them together like the base vestibule set up.

To set up, I stake 2 corners on the first base, then the 2 corners on the other base, insert my pole, stake out the back / front loops then 2 door flaps. Stake out and adjust guylines.

We only use it when it’s the 2 of us and trying to be light as possible early season hunts so neither base has a stove Jack. If one did, it wouldn’t improve the usable room by much. The walls are pretty low on the sides and with the stove in there it takes up usable space.

I have a jack in my vestibule and one in my connecting tarp.

2 of us, late rifle and cold. We either both solo with a base / vestibule and stove or do base tarp / vestibule with the stove.

We have done 3 of us in base tarp base with the stove in the connecting tarp

'Preciate all the input. Trying not to buy an additional piece as upper management is closely scrutinizing costs :cautious:.
But, will try and pick up a vestibule if one comes up. I dont think I fully considered the room stove would use up and will be doing some trial setups around the house soon. My intent was to roll the Base to Base with a stove as a solo palace. and if needed stuff my wife or hunting partner in with as conditions warrant. Thanks again for input, pulse rate went up when it was first mentioned that the base/base didnt zip together!
