For those who have worn one in the 20s and below, what type of layering did you have under it for various temperature ranges?

You don't need anything under it! LOL

I've used mine for North Dakota coyote hunting on two week-long trips.

Temps from the low 30's to below 0 with winds up to 25 mph. I wore a long leave merino layer and a fleece sweatshirt. I never even felt a chill in the worst conditions.

That is good to know. I always run cold. Maybe I add a vest to your combo.

I always run cold and find the burner parka over a single merino base layer a bit too warm if I’m moving at all above zero. Stationary that’s good to well below zero as long as the lower body is kept warm (down pants) and not sitting on a cold rock.

Last year during below zero hunts I wore a super down ultra jacket for moving and burner for stationary. If I didn’t have warm pants on I’d get cold even with the burner when not moving.

Also I bring a big pack (MR Pintler) day hunting so I can toss the burner (and my sons’ puffies) in easily. I’ve only put it in the included stuff sack once and that was like stuffing a sleeping bag.

I have never went with down pants. I have only used Sitka long underwear then their Midi pant and an outer layer.
