Lathrop and Sons new insoles!

Just got a set of the new insoles from Lathrop's and I'm digging on them with a shovel.

These are heat moldable, slightly thicker and less weight to boot!

They remind me of a mixture between the SOLE's and Synergy in one package.

how's the heat molding process??

You're supposed to put them in the oven and then slide them in your boots, but I skipped that part and just stuck them in normally and headed to Red Rocks for an hour of cardio.

I will on my next set, but it's seems to do the same thing just by wearing them....just takes longer. I heat molded one set of my SOLES and the other I just wore to work for a few days. I couldn't tell the difference between them.

The heat molding speeds thing up for sure.

I don't have these molded yet (not enough miles), so I'll stick them in the oven now and see what happens.

Sarah from Lathrops e-mailed me back this morning she said "The heat moldable synergy footbed is still in the experimental stages. At this time we are not ready to bring this new idea to the market".

Guess I'll be ordering the normal ones for my new Kenetreks.

That was my only complaint about my Meindl Perfekts this year was the footbed. I think this will be my replacement.

I think I'm the one doing the testing on these and so far I'm very impressed.

Hopefully I can talk them into putting them on the market pretty quickly.

I got the synergy insoles two days ago, they will go back on Monday. Not impressed with them. Wore them in my Lowa Ranger boots and then in my Brooks Beast shoes for working out. Now my feet hurt...not enough arch support for me. If someone doesn't need good arch support the gel seems pretty thick, but I need something more.
Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't.

Am looking forward to the new ones hitting the market, even asked if I could be a tester for them.
