Late season Wyoming Elk

I'm thinking about going to Wyoming in January to attempt to take a cow and was looking for any advice I could get on what areas to look into. Thank you

Do you have a tag? There arent many leftover and most of the units leftover have poor access unless you pay for it.

I do have a tag. Hunted there in september and came up short. I have some time off in January and was hoping to take a trip over to try and get some meat.

Not sure what area your tag is good for, but down Hwy. 230, near Woods Landing, the elk come off of Sheep Mtn. onto private land and are accessible. This is southwest of Laramie.

Wyoming has gotten some weather over the past few weeks so they hopefully will start coming out of the mountains. I have a late season tag too, and ive been waiting for this weather, my goal is to start getting after it in the next week or two.
