Late season glassing mittens

might not be budget, but a good pair of Gore-Tex mitt outers (can use as rain mitts too) combined with Apex insulated mitts (Enlightened Equipment- 3 choices of amount of insulation) and a light liner glove is what I've settled on after many (many) years afield in all conditions. Gives you multiple combinations from just the liner gloves to wearing all three in the coldest weather.
Pretty much how I roll. OR shell mitts inside is either simple silicone covered spandex atlas gloves, i like the black/gray ones and down mitten can go between or in place of.

Light, simple and relatively cheap.

Kinco mittens are great especially if you aren't worried about weight. I used sno seal on mine and was able to ski all day in comfort.

Leather chopper mittens. Growing up in Michigans U.P. , dad always had them, seemed like all the dad's had them. The ones with removable liners are very nice , can swap to fresh dry wool liners if needed. Easy ,on off.
