Late October Colorado elk hunt shoes ?

Hey all looking for some help in hunting shoe categories, me being from Hawaii have zero experience in colder hunts would you recommend wearing this boots with gaiters or crispi Nevadas with gaiters? I have both I prefer lower height boots and have stronger ankles thanks

I like to wear a mountaineering style of boot when I hunt the later rifle seasons. So far Scarpa has been good to me, but I don’t see why those wouldn’t work.

Weather can vary a lot that time of year. If the weather is mild you’ll have no issue with those. If it’s cold you may wish you had something with some insulation, like 200gr.

Got just tried on the Salathe it has a tight toe box so I don’t think I’ll be able to wear them with thick socks

I have circulation issues so thick ass socks actual make feet colder. I started wearing Darn Tough ski socks a few seasons ago back and they’ve been pretty awesome.

Thanks I was trying to avoid insulation because I would like to still use them back home
