Been on this site for a few years but dont post much. I figured Id start.
This is a west central WI 5.5 yr old I killed Nov 21 2023.
280y shot with a 7-08AI
gross scored a touch over 140
buck was 208 field dressed zero fat on him when we caped him out.
wound is the entrance, he was quartering hard to me, and i was aiming at the point of the shoulder and pulled it a bit (offhand he came in on the wrong side of my ground blind) Bullet road down the side before it went in. He ran off with very very little blood. Tracked him on hands and knees for 200yard through super thick brush, spotted him laying down im assuming he was dead but i put an insurance round in him to be sure.
