I don't know how applicable this at this point due to your time constraint. Anyhow I just arrowed a mature mule deer at 27 yards with a standard Thorn. Broke a rib on the way in and poked out the opposite side. Went a little high through both scapula's. Shooting 276 with 492 grains of arrow weight. Thorn is probably the most forgiving broadhead on the market right now. They also ship very fast.
