I am curious if anyone has any experience using LandTrust.com for hunting whitetail in Iowa? I have good odds of drawing my tag next year and I have used LandTrust for turkey hunting in NE, MT, and SD and have been very pleased with the whole process. I am in full support of paying a working farmer or rancher to have exclusive access to their land for a few day rather than using public lands when I will only have a few days to get Iowa to hunt. Curious if anyone has utilized them for Whitetail in Iowa and if so if they have any recommendations on properties to book.

Interested in peoples experiences with them for any other upland or waterfowl hunts as well.

Landtrust is just pushing towards further commodification of wildlife. Try hunting Texas sometime and tell me how you like their system.

I agree with this take. We as hunters need to think about putting more dollars into access programs and the creation of more public (federal and state) vs getting into the lease game. I've hunted lots of DU and pheasants forever land open to public hunting and much prefer giving them money vs contributing to the gentrification of hunting.

I don't have a solution, but the more and more I see the "QDMA"/"booner or bust" crowd leasing 100k+ acres for single hunters the more I worry about my kids ability to hunt when they are my age.
