Land clearing

I’m not super into what guys are charging these days.

But a rough estimate is $250 an hour per machine the operator.
8 hr days is $2000 day
30 days is $60k
So just envision how much can one hourly rate operator clear in a day.

Depends on the machine but thats close for sure. This is why i suggested marking a path of travel into the wooded area, renting a small forestry mulcher to take out all the understory trees and bushes 5" and under, then fell all the remaining trees, limb and section the trunks, rent a mid size excavator with thumb to stack the trunks and create brush piles. Also use the excavator to tear out the stumps. Bull dozer rental not sure necessary unless you want a really smooth field

Depending on where you live, you might be able to charge $200 per pile of logs for people to come take the wood for firewood and then burn the brush piles

We have a small mini ex that we use to clean up. Its not perfect but works. We sell the wood, its fun and cleans things up.
Weather permitting we stack in piles and burn.

So I’ve had a lot of land cut and put in many fields.

Most of the time you can talk to the dozer guy for the timber crew and pay him on the side to do the work for you. He will be out to clean up your roads after the job anyways. Usually get whatever work I need done then.

They’ve put in roads. Fields. Even built me a pond one time.

Getting the equipment to your property is hard part. If already there can get lots of work done cheap
