I think I left my Labradar external battery at the range last session or it somehow grew legs. I have another random Amazon type generic battery pack I use for my phone/iPad and other such things. I tried it on the Labradar and can’t get it to power on at all. Does it have to be some specific type of battery?

Check the micro USB connector on the Labradar unit. They are not, ahem, robust, and are known to fail. Sometimes pressing *lightly* up or down on the plug solves this shutoff issue. If it does, have the outlet repaired or install a proper power connector.

Yep. Mine broke the first time out. The battery pack fell off the bench and I was done. I can only use AA batteries now.

i pushed one of the magnetic adapters into my LR. with a magnetic cord on the battery i dont mess with the micro plug any more, just stick the magnet on it and turn on the battery. the battery is velcro attached to the LR.
