Cool - sounds like it is one end or the other. People either claim they are bullet proof, or they claim that they fell apart. I think I will still take a chance on these. I need a light high country boot and this seems to fit the bill.

They aren't bullet proof but I think you'll find lot of reviews with people getting adequate life from them. The one part that I'd expect to wear a little fast is the soft rubber in the "climbing zone" on the toe.
