My icon frame broke while packing out an elk. Called kuiu and because I was not the original owner there was nothing they could do.. It's the old stile frame. The two wings that stick out the bottom one of them broke. Is there any home remedies that could fix it.

I feel they should stand behind there product no matter who owns it. I do like there stuff. The pack is comfortable but its not worth it breaking when you need it the most. Anyone tried exo packs?

Google fiberglass/carbon fibre repair, and maybe consider buying a replace, emt frame. Only a handful of companies that have transferable warranties....

Kifaru, EXO, mystery ranch, paradox, and stone glacier all have warranties on the product that does not matter who purchased. I also believe badlands and eberlestock do as well. Kuiu is pretty much the only mid to high end pack that doesn't.

That's weird that they wouldn't. I tried to even get a deal on an old style frame. There clothes are nice but I don't think there packs are up to speed.

Pretty much every major company in the hunting world now has no question warrenty but Kuiu isn't one of them. That fact has turned me off to their products. I picked up some of their clothes last year during their big sales and like them but will be sticking to first light and Kryptek for my clothing purchases and not worry about it.

Kuiu's warranty is horrible. I like there stuff but they're service is lacking. They sent me a repair shops number when I had issues. Ill be buying elsewhere in the future.

Funny thing I broke 2 of the older style 7200 frames just doing training for a kodiak goat hunt, they replaced both no questions asked, we just completed that hunt and my son used the pack on this trip surprisingly with no problems! Me, I used my Barney's.

Just a semantics thing Micahmoose, but it's not the case that there was "nothing they could do". There was plenty they could do! They just chose to do nothing because their customer service sucks and they warranty policy sucks. I like their clothes, but won't buy any of their gear beyond that because they won't stand behind it.

Contact the person you bought it from. See if they can exchange it for you.

I used a strip of metal, riveted it to the frame then jb welded it together it works good. Shouldn't have to Jerry rig crap together. I should probably jb weld the entire frame. To have it break with 75 lbs of elk on it 2 miles frome the truck sucks. I am going to go with the seek outside or mystery ranch and use the icon as a backup. Because that's really all the icon is good for. A backup..!!!!

Kuiu has tried to be an everything company. They should stick with clothes and the accessories. They got into boots, tents, sleeping bags, and they still can't focus on the bottom line, need good product with availability. They never have anything you need in stock. Seems like they are the Walmarts of hunting, wanting to do and be everything company.

I think they hit the clothes for mountain style out of the park.
