Looking to grab a lighter shell for longer trips and fairer summer weather.

I already have the Yukon and that jacket is NIIIICCE but it weighs 30oz. I use it when I'm living in my rain gear here in WA state and will continue to do so.

For summer scouting and early season high country hunting I'm looking at the Teton vs. the Ultra NX jackets, as both weigh about 8oz. The Ultra breathes better and has a higher waterproof rating.

Is that worth an extra 130 bucks? My gut tells me no.

Anyone with experience with either of these jackets?

I used the teton pants this year and loved them. My hunt partner and brother ran right out and got a pair. I did fall on my ass hauling out an elk and they torn about a quarter inch. Put some tenacity tape on it and good to go. They are perfect for my intended use. Emergency rain and wind layer. And yes, I stayed dry.
