Kuiu squeak repair

What have others done to stop the squeak?

It's a newer Icon Pro 3200.

I've had mine for a couple of years now and never heard that squeak until this last week. it drove me nuts. I'm following to find out what the fix is. I did read somewhere a while ago that putting baby powder down the frame was supposed to help.. my squeak sounds like it's coming from the load lifter area.

Mine is from just about everywhere the bag rubs the frame and is worse the more weight is in the bag. I used it once in a light rain with real high humidity and it was enough to drive one insane!

I never had any squeaking with my Ultra pack, but since I've changed to the Icon Pro, I have had squeaking issues. I thought maybe it had to do with the plastic piece fits into the track on the frame to hold the shoulder harness on. The one on my right side came free and would spin. It would regularly turn and pop out of the track. I contacted Kuiu and they sent me a replacement shoulder harness. I just put it on last night, so I don't know yet if that will take care of the squeaking.

wrap the frame with hockey tape wherever the frame contacts the bag or the hip belt...worked awesome for me and only makes the odd squeak

This is what I've been thinking. Glad to hear it works.

I had the same issue with my icon pro. Kuiu told me to put extra fine powdered graphite in the frame pocket and any where else a squeak could come from. I did that and it helped a little but still squeaked some. I couldn't take the squeaking anymore and sold the kuiu and bought a kifaru which hasn't squeaked yet.

I own a Icon Pro 5200 and have never heard a squeak. Good to know what to do tho!

Sold my gen 1 Icon pack due to the squeek. Bought the ultra 3000 for a day pack and so far not much of a peep from it.

2013 Icon 5200 and it squeaks non stop. I'll definitely be giving the hockey tape a try before my hunt. Thanks

I had a squeak on an ultra. I readjusted everything and think I had the shoulder straps too tight. The squeak went away after I adjusted everything.

I thought I'd update this for others.

I ended up taking the bag off the frame and spraying the crap out of all the contact points with Silicone waterproofing spray.

It worked well but don't know how long it will last.

I found some powdered graphite in the bottom U shaped area where the carbon fiber rests in the belt got rid of that squeak (make sure to hit the sides of the belt pocket too not just the bottom), and putting some athletic tape on the frame where the shoulder strap T locks are got rid of that one with a little graphite inside the hole in the shoulder strap for the T lock.
