Kuiu sizing

Just ordered som Kuiu clothing in my usual size L.

The Guide jacket was bodywise ok, a bit short in front, and the arms were a bit tight.
It has about 5" leftover textile around my body, but having a little woolen sweater underneath gave made the jacket a bit tight over my arms..

The Yukon pants in L on the other hand fitted perfect. It is not big enough to go on top of other thick pants, but ok over lighter pants.

For comparison I am 6ft even, about 200lb, usually vary between 190 and 200lb depending on time of year.. In Arc´teryx I use size L all the way.

I know the fit is atletic and not meant to have a whole lot underneath. I wonder if I am going to keep it, or swap it in a larger size..? I am truly afraid the XL is going to be too large..

I´d be very interested to hear what others have experienced with regards to Kuiu sizing?

At 6'1" 175 the large jackets ( guide and chugach) fit great, I wanted to like the kenai, but it was too short for me. In pants I have the attacks and the 34 fits great, comfy in warm weather yet big loose enough that I can put a thin base layer on. Overall most of the kuiu stuff has been a great fit for me.

I am 6' 180 lbs and wear the Guide jacket in L. It is tight in the arms, but I believe it is supposed to be that way.

6'2" 170 ish. Large guide is an upsize for me but a medium would have been too tight under the arms with a puffy. All kuiu is narrow in sleeves, works well with it self but not so much with other brands with normal cut.

I believe their sizing is in half size increments. I can wear an xl puffy and it fits like a casual loose fit not way too big.

Base and mid layer medium is fine, shell layer large is better for me because I like the extra sleeve length.

Sounds like you are in-between sizes and recommend going up at least in outerwear.

I am 6' 1" and range from 210-215, working on getting to <205. Usually need XL clothing to fit my shoulders and Kuiu XL fits well. Have peloton 240, superdown hooded, and guide jacket in XL and they layer nicely for me. But, the merino 145 base layers in L fit better than the XL. Also have the attack and chinook pants with 36 waist if that helps for comparisons.
