KUIU Sizing 2025

Got the exchanges in the mail - they fit. First time since 2023 I've purchased my 'normal' size from KUIU.
Wow. I might roll the dice and order something else, see what happens.

which pants? I want to order a new pair of Katana and want to order my normal size instead of going up a size like my current pair.

Haha I feel that same about their fitment. It's so inconsistent between pieces too. Drives me nuts when they charge you if it's on clearance too. Such a guessing game.

Yea, really sucks when ordering from the outlet. I fit a 260 hoody fine in L. ordered a logo casual hoody in L from the outlet and it would easily fit an XXL

For a premium brand you'd definitely expect better

Rolled the dice, ordered a couple others.

I ordered a 2nd pair of Kutanas and a pair of Attacks. All my 'normal' size - they all fit perfect. Below is what I ordered specifically.

I think one of the reasons I do use their products is because I am close to their store and can try on the products because certain items do fit weird.

Sadly, this has been my experience as well. IME it isn’t just the size that changes from year to year but also the cut. My Attack Pants from 10 years ago were sized perfectly. Then I added Attack Pants ~5-6 years ago and they are both smaller overall and a bit slimmer cut. Ordered another pair when they were on sale a few months back and they are super snug in the waist and fuller-cut everywhere else.

It’s a shame really as I really love their fabrics and their field performance is usually excellent. Going on a Sheep Hunt in August and getting in shape so I’ve lost a few pounds and the Attack Pants from 5 years ago fit the best and will be coming along. Agree that their sizing certainly fluctuated over the years, but I still just love their clothes too much to throw in the towel, and just deal with exchanging what doesn’t fit. But try it on shortly after receiving as they only allow exchanges for limited periods.

I agree. The Kuiu Attacks are too good to give up on. I just size up and get them tailored.

Wash it. I have to order XXL in their logo hoodies now because as of summer 2024 they changed the style and the XLs shrink to a L after one wash. Had to give my wife 3 sweatshirts now because of that shrink.

Kuiu is known for its inconsistency in sizing from piece to piece.
If you go into their store and pick up any of their pants and try and say a 33 waist in the exact same pant in the same stack, they will all fit differently. Whenever I order online, I’ll pick or buy two or three of each pant and then return the ones that don’t fit properly. The Dallas store is very open about the sizing issues they’ve had for years and years. Grab the attack pant from the stack. The one below it will fit differently. As much as I dislike Sitka, their quality control is much better on their sizing.
