Just like the title states, I'm looking for user feedback on the Kuiu Rubicon jacket. I'm really only interested in info from those who have used it a fair amount in the hills. I'm not going to use it for hunting, but my use will be very similar. 5-7 days in Idaho's mountains several times a year. Thanks for any feedback.

I bought one at the same time as the guide jacket. Compared to the guide I wasn’t impressed with the fit and finish. It’s more true to size. The guide XL fits like a L for me and the rubicon L fit like a L. I don’t like the black fabric under the arms. I sent it back.

So... if you don't mind my asking, what was different about the fit and finish compared to the guide jacket? Was it too boxy, too tight, etc?

Thinner material. More like a pullover to me. A looser fit. Definitely early season jacket.

Any more details from folks that may have used this jacket this spring?

I'm looking for a softshell when conditions are wet but not a downpour but at the same time I need to be able to hike without overheating.

kuiu guide jacket was too warm for me.
