I have an original harness and love it. I added a front and bottom pocket and it’s about as perfect as it gets for me.

I received my Large Pro harness today. It’s everything the original was not. My Swaro SLC 10x42s fit perfectly with all three foam shims.

Looks to be a vast improvement over their old version. Still prefer the AGC harness due to zipper side pockets and rangefinder pocket all in one.

Cool, much better than sending $$ to China.
I didn’t see this set up before I ordered my AGC classic. I didn’t care for the old Kuiu harness, too minimalistic for me and the quality of some other Kuiu gear (zipper pulls breaking) had me concerned.

Swarovski 10x42 EL Ranges?
Better off going with XL? They are just a little fatter as you know.

Spent the last two days in the woods scouting with the new Kuiu harness. The Swaro EL 10x42s fit better length wise and still have a ton of room on the sides.

I found it hard to pull the binos out like I was uses to with the older kuiu harness. While having them fully enclosed is a nice thing for keeping out the elements, to pull the binos out I was trying to grab them quick and only the eye cups were there to grab. I would normally have enough body of the binos to grab without the closed in back. Not as quick one handed operation taking them out.

The lid is improved and comes over the top better on the new one. I really like that. The pocket is so tight in the front that maybe you could slip in your tag, but nothing else.

I do like it stay connected when you have the binos out, as the few times the last couple days I handed the binos off, I didn't have to search for the straps.

It rained both days and the new fabric stayed dry.

I may cut the middle portion of the back in between the straps out. Would still give me the ability to grab the body itself instead of the top eye cup pulling it out. Only downside is it's not fully enclosed. But not a deal breaker because it's against my chest anyways.

Some good upgrades, but trying to grab it quick and get eyes on an animal didn't work out the best for me. Might take out the razor blade tonight.

Pic shows what I'm talking about.

Looks like they tried to improve the original design by incorporating some design features of the FHF. I still think FHF is a better design, and the foam blocks are a solution to not making enough proper sizes. Cheap way to minimize size options imho.

Glad the copied some designs that worked better then their original.
I dont see anything in this harness that I could have gotten two years ago from a different harness. Not sending any money in their direction for this

Well I decided to chop out the back of the new pro bino harness. 10x better for getting them out for me. Not sure if others will have the same issue or not, but here is my hack fix.

You're brave! haha. I've worried about this problem too though with 10x42 Meostars, they're pretty short and fat for 10x42's. Would another shim have made it easier for you to get yours out? Or does it interfere with closing the lid too much if the eye cups are above the back panel?

Didn't make a difference for me.

By the time you would get them high enough to be able to grab the body, they would be a few inches out of the case.

Only solution I saw was to cut it to give me more room while maintaining the correct height for proper lid closure.

Having the enclosed back was a nice thought... But I would rather be able to pull them out then a bigger panel on the back.. I mean... it's already against your chest, so not that much stuff can get in there with that small opening.

I have an original Kuiu and last year got a Muley Freak harness since it is nearly the same as the Kuiu but has the double straps and a front pocket that fits my range finder (2 things the Kuiu missed for me). I like that this one is padded and has the double straps, but I think I’d still miss the front pocket (not sold on the Velcro basement pouch yet - I’d love feedback from anyone that uses the Kuiu basement). The muley freak one is a little small for my 10x42 slc...

The velcro "basement" works fine on Kuiu, no complaints from me. I only use it for the rangefinder pouch.

I had the first gen muley freak harness and it was much less comfortable than Kuiu harness for me.

Now that I have mine, I see what you are saying about it being a bit clumsy to get binos out. The whole reason I bought it was for the full enclosure, so I won't be doing any cutting but I understand why you did now.

After 10 minutes of putzing around with it I found that as long I fold the top cover fully down (which is necessary to just drop the binos back into without any snags) I can hook the bridge with a finger and easily pull them out one-handed. I keep my fingers around barrel/under the bridge while glassing so its not an unnatural movement in any way.

Just another suggestion before hacking.

I just received a pro harness tonight. I ordered a size large to replace my original Kuiu harness. This new pro is HUGE compared to the original. My Maven C1s will fit in the original but it’s a super tight fit. In the new pro harness, if I push the binos all the way to one side of the pocket, there’s over an inch between the binos and the other edge of the pocket. I thought at first I got an XL, but it’s marked L. I measured and can’t seem to duplicate the measurements posted on the website of either the L or XL.

I like the new design but these binos move around quite a bit inside. Maybe these C1s are on the small side for 10x42s but I feel like I could easily fit much larger binos in this size L harness.

Anyone else experienced this?
