Sizing kinda like most KUIU? If I normally wear an XL, probably need a 2X?

This is my absolute favorite of the softshells. I wish they still had it in production. If I didn't already have this exact jacket i would scoop it up. I'm 510 180 and it fits me about perfect in the sleeve, and a little extra in the torso for layers.

I’m 6’2” 225. IF I use a Softshell it’s generally with a base under it and that’s it. I’ve used both XL and XXL from them in jackets just depending on how I want to use the setup. This is definitely a snug fit and I wouldn’t put more than a base under it for my size.

Similar as far as warmth and fit, but the kutana has a bit more room in the torso. Kutana is supposedly a little tougher as it's made with nylon vs the polyester of the guide. I currently own both jackets and prefer the kutana. I was pushing through a lot of old logging clear-cuts last year and the kutana made it through without a scratch.

KUIU just put their kutana jackets on sale for a pretty good price ($180) was thinking about picking one up but was curious what the difference is in the kutana and the guide? Anyone have experience with both of these? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
