Tested all three puffies on a 3-day archery hunt, 9,000–11,000 ft. Kuiu breathes best on climbs, Uncompahgre felt warmer when glassing, and the Costco down jacket actually surprised me for $40 — until it wet out on day two and smelled like a duck.
Verdict: Kuiu for the hike, Uncompahgre for the sit, and never again on the Costco thing outside basecamp.
