Long story short, I purchased my first Kenai jacket when they introduced the series in 2016-17ish; it’s been my go-to jacket for years for personal and hunting use and has been an absolutely fantastic jacket. Honestly one of my best Kuiu purchases. Gen 3 Kenai jacket came out, so I decided to purchase; I elected to go with a size larger than my original jacket for better layering. Not know they completely changed the sizing and cut of the jacket; it was a little larger than I wanted, but I decided to keep it. I’ve mainly used the new jacket for personal use and one hunt, and I honestly think the quality is not what it used to be. I literally have wear marks from my seat belt across my shoulder in the new jacket and the old jacket; I’ve crawled through sticker bushes, and it has held up great.

Would the Kifaru Lost Parker be a better replacement, or should I downsize on the Kenai and give another shot?

I’d start there. Maybe you got a bad batch or they changed materials for different applications. Either way I’ve had decent luck with them fixing or replacing products

the lost park parka is warmer, more comfortable, tougher, but for sure more loud if that matters. i wear my kenai quite a bit, and it's served it's purpose, but if i'm planning on sitting and glassing and it's chilly, the LPP is much more substantial.

if i'm moving most of the day, stops are relatively short, the kenai is great... if i'm walking in somewhere to sit and glass for awhile, the LPP

they aren't very similar to me
