I'm in the market for a pair of kenai pants on the secondary market. I'm wondering how the kenai sizing runs.

I wear a 34 in chinook pants, medium in first lite merino, medium in kenai jacket, large in Superdown jacket, medium in superdown pant large in peloton baselayers and medium in kuiu merino baselayers

Medium or large?

5"10. 180lb

I'm pretty close to your same size...5'10", 185. I wear a 34 chinook as well, but I have broad shoulders which requires a large sized jacket.

I have the Kenai pants, and I really like them for up here. Mine are a large, and fit me just fine. The adjustable Velcro tabs on each side of the waist let you fine-tune what you want. These pants fit to the top of your wading shoes. so they end a bit higher on the leg, which allows you to put them on and off without removing your boots. Putting them on for the first time with your boots still on is a bit interesting...my hunting partner and I were laughing that it was diaper training for old age!

Do you find them baggy or just right?

For me they feel just right at the waist. They are really light in weight, so there is no sagging.

The opening at the bottom of the pant for each leg is a bit tight because they fit higher than the ankle...that's another reason why I'm glad I got a large. I'm not sure a medium would feel comfortable on me at the lower leg part of the pants.

Medium fit my skinny but just right, 33 waist, no butt. Medium peloton pants were tight almost too tight to start the zipper. I had two pairs of kenai pants from different runs so I don’t think it’s a fluke but they are a “mid layer” so cut a hair bigger. My experience is with a medium kenai you get a medium waist with a large calf diameter ( my large peloton calves fit just like the medium kenai).

Side note, don’t be surprised if you end up adding a fly to them.
