Kuiu Kenai Hoodie Review

the Kenai, both hooded and non-hooded, is my favorite piece of kuiu gear after the attack pants. I run hot with very little exertion and this allows you to wick sweat while actively hiking in cold conditions. It will allow your base layers to dry as well, wicking sweat through the kenai. Often I can get away with only wearing the kenai for cold weather, but will bring the super down LT or super down pro as a backup for severe cold since it's so lightweight. The Kenai is money!

For fit, I found the Kenai to be a much better fit for shorter, stockier builds. I have a short, muscular build and could not fit in the SG Cirque or Cirque LT comfortably - too tight when proper length, or too long with proper girth. Kenai seems to be a softer/stretchier material than SG.

So as luck would have it I have come into possession of an Arcteryx LT now as well. Comparing the two the Atom LT seems to be warner. It fits slimmer as well. I like them both. Neither is super warm, but I find I wear the Atom LT more, because I am worried the Kenai isn't as durable. I love how light and soft the Kenai is but I always wear it under a shell. For my use I should have got a super down LT to put on once I got to the watch or stand.
