Is there enough of a difference in these pants that would make you lean one way or the other.

I think the pro is alittle lighter weight insulation wise, other than that I think it is just another sku

The older guide stuff was not very wind proof. The guide pro is supposed to be. Curious if anyone has used both, and can speak to the difference as well.

The Guide is more like a fleece lined soft shell, definitely warmer than the Attacks.

I wear Attacks in temps between 0 and 30 often. This is all day hikes with intermittent sitting when I don Super Down Pro pants. I've never been able to hike in the Guides. They are just too damned hot for robust activity.

Im kind of looking for pants for longer sits (3 hours). For any type of walking I agree the Attacks are all u need.
