Which vest do you prefer and why. I have the ASAT now. How quiet are they and how warm or physical and fabric weight. KUIU lists the weights but Kryptek doesn't give as much info and ASAT gives almost nothing. All three have a DWR coating.

I have a First Lite Springer coming I am anxious to try out. I've run a REI puff vest and really like it. What are you planning to use the vest for?

Planning to use it as another option. I don't own many jackets and find them way too warm when hunting uphill which is most days for me. I wear it over 2 merino tops or a merino and traverse/sherpa type shirt. In bow season I like it over a jacket on cold mornings to keep my arms free and a little quieter for drawing my bow.

I have a First Lite and KUIU. The FL is soft/thick merino wool and is definitely the warmer of the two. The KUIU is not quite as thick and has a soft shell style outer layer.

The KUIU is louder and not as warm, but lighter and weather resistant. So, I guess it's pick your poison.

I briefly had a First Lite vest earlier this year. Got it in a trade and it was a little big and I just didn't feel like it offered much warmth at all. The ASAT I currently have was much warmer and fit better. How loud is the KUIU or what is it similar to. I have attack pants if it sounds anything like those. ( I know they are different weight primflex material)
