Kuiu, first Lite or Under Armour?

I wouldn't wear any more under armour if they where paying me extremely well. The durability of their clothing has been terrible in my experience and their footwear is worse. I upgraded most of my clothing from sitka to Kuiu and couldn't be happier. Durable and fits extremely well for me. Like most of it well enough that I'm slowly buying my favorite pieces in solids to have for work and casual wear. First lite has some of the best base layers I've tried. Sitka makes my second favorite hunting pants. (Mountain assent) if I hadn't have tried Kuiu I would still have mostly sitka gear but I'm glad I did. Couldn't be happier with my kit.

First lite is what I switched to last year. They have a lot more camo patterns. And great customer service. Kuiu also makes great clothing. Under armour is about 8th place for clothing in my book. Don't listen to Cameron Hanes for gear lists. First lite come longer than kuiu so it fits the taller crowd pretty good. If you are a public servant such as military/ff/police officer. Check out promotive. First lite offers some stuff through them.

Of those three, I prefer First Lite, Kuiu, then Under Armour. And I'm a big Cam Hanes fan, but not necessarily his gear preferences. I love the FL gear that I've used and the company in general. Kuiu I don't care for as a company, but I have liked the few pieces of their clothing I've tried.

Out of those options I'd go with First Lite. Might add Kryptek but if not the FL would be my choice.

OK thanks for the help. I haven't had any durability issues with the some of the under armour stuff i have used just not sure on the new pattern. Do you guys prefer sitka over Kuiu i'm also looking at Sitka as well just not sure about there pattern in the heavy timber. But as of right now i am leaning towards First Lite gear.

KUIU won't have everything you need in stock and it might be a several month wait. Why, exactly? I don't know. Under Armour is poop compared to First Lite and KUIU. So this leaves you with First Lite. Enjoy.

I switched from mostly UA to KUIU. Couldn't be happier. I did a little test run yesterday on warmth of the DCS Guide Jacket. 8 degrees and 20 mph winds. I had a mid and heavy weight kuiu merino top on and the guide jacket. Did some hiking and shed hunting. Never got cold and that guide jacket really blocks the wind. For such a light jacket it really surprised me.

I have a little of everything and am gradually adding as much FL merino as I can. I am really liking it's fit and durability.

OK thanks for the help are the kanab and kuiu attack pants fairly pants quite when walking through thick country during the archery season? and how do well do they do during the mid season being about mid October?

I started buying KUIU in 2011 and don't think I will ever stop. Their pants are the best I have ever tried. I tried FL puffy but sold it after one use. Tried the Kanab pants and sold them after trying them on but I heard they fixed the fit issues many were having a few years ago when I tried them. FL merino is great from what I have heard.

To answer your pant question I wear my attack pants all year in S Utah. They are quiet in the oak brush.

I have both the Kanab and Attack pants and I'd say both are equally quiet. And the new Kanab pants are much improved from some of the earlier versions. If buying used, make sure you ask that or know what you are looking at. I think the Attack pants fit me better but I just love the merino wool garments.

Kanabs are one of the most comfy pair of pants I've ever worn. Can't speak for other companies gear never had the need to try any. So comfy I wear them to work !!

I have 5 dozen pcs of Sitka, best I have found yet. Have Nat Gear, Kuiu, Russell, FL and others, they have their place on occasion.
