You can't tell me Canadian made Kuiu is the same quality as the Chinese junk.

Do you have any substance to back up your "junk" claim? And I'm not talking about sizing within a line of items, which really isn't a quality control issue as long as the consistency is there. Being that 'USA made only' is your approach, it's hard to believe that you have purchased and used enough overseas made KUIU gear to sincerely make such a blanketing statement. It sounds more like you are lumping KUIU in with a broader group of manufacturers, making assumptions based on a personal phobia you have with 'Made in China' gear- which in my opinion, isn't fair. I would be willing to bet that you couldn't handle two identical KUIU items side by side, one from each continent, and be able to tell the difference by looking at quality control indicators- even after using and abusing them. Like TXCO said, it's absolutely a case by case basis- yet you make it sound like anything from Asia means "junk". ...And the saying "There's one in every crowd" holds true...

I agree that it is very tough to buy anything not made in China but I will support the made in USA product when I can. It's only my opinion but many times quality takes a hit whether you believe it or not, which might be subtle like stitching, threading, consistency or that extra inch of shirt tail. No need getting personal just to dismiss another's opinion.

Looks like the Kryptek merino now:)
Modified my Kuiu Tiburon Tops with Merino wool by removing the stitching length wise on the inside seam.

Now I can draw my bow with ease.

Love the fabric and Vias Camo pattern.

From the KUIU Forum:

Can kuiu say anything about the Tiburon shirt? The sleeves are a major issue. A good review is rare. Read this forum here, read the blog, read the rokslide forum its easy to see that the sleeves do not work. Will there be a second gen product that has the stretch of the sleeves going in the proper direction or sleeves with a more room? Or is kuiu standing by this product? The material is awesome. The material and the pants are getting great reviews. But the shirt sleeves are an issue, simple.

JR,

The comments have been well noted. I met with Toray last week to address the sleeve for the next round of production that will be delivered later this year. If anyone is having an issue with their Tiburon Shirt please let Customer Service ([email protected]) know and we will email you a return postage and an RA# for the return.

After seeing all the stuff about the tight forearms and talking to Kuiu customer service I ordered my Tiburon shirt a size larger than I normally wear. I am normally a Large, the Xtra Large fits well. I can roll the sleeves up to mid forearm and can fully draw my bow with no problems. The Tiburon is a fantastic material, really light and breathable but still feels durable enough for anything the mountain can throw at me.
