Which Kuiu camo do y'all like the best: Verde or Vias? Help me decide, please. Any in the field pics are appreciated.

Thanks.

While I like both I wear verde. The new 2.0 verde is a nice improvement, I think, and will get it as items are needed/wearr out.

I run both sets, depending on where I am hunting. My Vias set up is more for warmer conditions when it's hot and surrounding have more browns in the background and the verde when it's later season and more green. Not sure if you need both, but that's the logic I used.

These items are being bought for western hunting cause they're lighter weight than some of my current items. However, they'll do double duty in treestands here in Bama. I love the looks of the Verde(I've only seen it on the internet). But I wonder how the Vias would look in the hardwoods in a treestand?

I recently picked up both and honestly can't decide between the two. While in a treestand with a buck on his way this September I had turkeys bust me with ASAT on and screwed up my shot. They acted stupid and the buck turned around. ASAT is great but I guess it stood out against the green leaves to the turkeys. I'm hoping the Verde is better in that regard.

Verde. Blends into the sage brush very well.

I prefer vias due to the larger contrast in colors. Same concept as ASAT, I feel the vias does a really good job of breaking up my silhouette. Vias seems to work really well in the hardwoods as well. I can't tell you how many deer seem to look at you and know something is up and can't seem to find you. it's more of a personal preference to use Vias for me but i think the new Verde 2.0 is nice as well. I just don't really like the patterns that are just digital. i feel at distance a digital camo will blob up where as the contrast camo seems to hold some breakup, JMHO. Best of luck!

I like verde but I don't believe it makes a big difference. Vias breaks up better but doesn't seem to have the depth effect like asat or predator. Its just flat. Verde doesn't blob too bad and is more versatile IMO.

Two seasons ago I had a verde set up from head to toe. I sold it all and now have a open country setup from head to toe. If you are patient you can buy Sitka for similar prices to Kuiu. My brother has a verde and a vias set. Verde for elk in dark timber and vias for open country. He lives in AZ. I hunt more open country, because I LOVE to spot and stalk! Hints buying Sitka. My buddy got into hunting western big game after I took him on his first elk hunt and he got a cow. Took 17 shots, but that's a different story. He asked me last summer what clothing system to buy without completely breaking the bank. He asked in July, so he didn't have a ton of time to buy all he needed. I recommended him to get vias, because I think it's more versatile than verde. Just my opinion. If I had the same situation happen, I would say get verde 2.0. I think it's more versatile than vias. Again, just my opinion. When looking at a clothing system I like to pick what fits best and what serves my needs in the field. Everybody is different. Animals don't care what camo you have on. There are plenty of guys on here who are very successful wearing solids. My .02

i wear Verde. my brother wears Vias..i kinda think he disappears better. if i am left glassing and watching a deer it takes a very short time for him to disappear if he is standing still.

I don't think it matters much between the two. Animals see black and white. If you look at the verde and vias from a little distance, their values are about the same.

I like the verde. Like others, I believe the critters don't really care what pattern you use... Turkeys however, (from my experience) are near impossible to fool from a tree stand!

The verde worked really well for high country bowhunting this fall, but I suspect the Vias would have as well...

I used the Verde for a whitetail hunt this fall, with great results!

Buy a breakup pattern you like and move on. If you read about breakup patterns and how they are designed to work, you will realize the actual colors used are not nearly as important as you would think. I prefer larger macro patterns as I think they are truer to the logic used to develop a breakup pattern, but I'm not fooling myself into thinking it really matters. As someone else said, it comes down to movement and the wind.

I honestly think this is one of the most overanalyzed things in hunting. People will buy boots without trying them and bows without shooting them but then agonize over small differences in camo patterns.

So, which of the two patterns I mentioned do you like best?

You didn't mention verde 2.0 specifically but it looks way better than the website photos that make the green look neon. My favorite thing with 2.0 is the bluish gray is gone.
