KUIU Attack Sizing Question

Additional Question: I would like to understand the temperature range for this pant. Website says 'mild' but this can be subjective.. I'm likely good for October hunts in Idaho. Is there enough room to wear a base layer if needed for November hunts?

I’m different from these guys, I wear a 32 waist in Carhartts and the 32 attacks fit me very well. There was one color that explicitly stated on the website to order one size up.
If it gets down into the teens, I switch to the Guide pants. Anything above that can be a light under layer or bare pants.

I consistently wear a size 34 waist in Carhartt, Wrangler, Levi etc. I can wear a size 34 Kuiu Attack, but it is snug with absolutely no room for a base layer. 36 waist is much more comfortable and perfect with a base layer.

In summary, I also recommend sizing up

I rarely wear long johns, like maybe in the teens or lower. For me the current attack pant is good for about all my hunting. They are a bit warm for September hunts, but not horrible. The thigh vents help. The original version was thinner fabric and better for spring turkey and early archery hunts.
You can fit a thin long johns on under them.

I’m not sure where you live, but the just opened a store in Denver. Pretty nice, lots of inventory so you can try stuff on vs guess. Doesn’t solve the order and hope for most however.

I have to size up to get proper room in the thighs and then have the waist tailored back down.
They really are a great all-around pant. No problem 20-80* F with vents and baselayers.

Worst case you can send them back and exchange for a different size. I’ve been wearing KUIU since they first came out and in my experience the sizing remains fairly consistent so once you settle on a size you should be good to go unless you gain or lose weight.

I personally think KUIU clothes are true to size while many other brands are bigger than the size listed. Probably something about Americans and our propensity to run larger in size than people in other countries.

There might be a Fourth of July sale so you might want to wait a few days before ordering. Buying KUIU stuff is like buying bed sheets, always wait for a sale.

I spend 30 or so days a year hunting in central Idaho in attack pants in December, January and February. If I put a base layer under them, I'd overheat. I do carry down pants that I put on when I'm going to sit and glass. My fit is true to size. Same size attacks as my jeans.
