I am about to order some 210 bottoms and am having a hard time deciding on sizing. I am a 34-36 waist, but have big hips/rear/thighs. I wear a Large in FL Guides which I plan on wearing these under, but a Large in the Kanab 2.0 was too tight in the hips/thighs. Anyone have any experience with that can give me some input on which size I should get? Thinking I will need L, but worried I may need to up to XL.

I am also a 34-36 waist and wear 34 Attacks like women's yoga pants. I have size large 145 bottoms. I have heard the 210's don't stretch quite as much so I would say go with XL. My true waist measurement is 35" and I have very big thighs hips and glutes. I haven't tried First lite guides yet or kanab 2.0 because the original kana a were so tight In the thighs with no stretch I had to have a huge pant waist to make the thighs work.

Dover,
Thanks for the insight. I have been told that the original Kanabs were better than the 2.0s (I couldn't lift my leg 6"), so this is surprising. The Guides have lots of stretch in the waist and elsewhere. Fit is very similar to the Sitka Mountains. Do the Kuiu merino bottoms have enough elastic in the waist to keep them from sliding down on me if I did size up?

The 145 bottoms have enough stretch and with the Velcro you could shrink maybe 1/4" or more per side. I seem to remember Kotaman saying something about the 210's being tighter

Well CO hope you ordered the XL kuiu 210's. I made it into a store to try on the First Lite Guides tonight and the Larges fit about like a 36 Kuiu or maybe a little bigger. The size medium First Lite Guides fit just right in the waist had a little room in the thighs and glutes and the calves were tight (i think that is intentional on first lites part). The guides fit so well I am considering ordering a pair or buying those but I want asat and the store had fusion. I like the fusion but it won't go very well with anything I have yet. I do like the pattern more in person than in pictures. The hard decision is the first lite guides are $150 and the Kuiu Attacks are $130 and the Alpines are $150. I might do it just to try them out and they would match my asat leafy suit top then. Anyway sorry to sidetrack the thread CO. If you wear size L First Lite Corrugate Guide pants get size XL Allegheny bottoms or size XL kuiu merino bottoms or size 36 kuiu pants except in Alpines because they run big and I would match first lite guide sizing on those.

Thanks Dover, good to hear. Hadn't ordered yet but have almost pulled the trigger on the 210s twice. Don't plan to get the Alleghenys as I hunt muzzleloader and thing the guides with red deserts should be plenty if I'm up and moving and I plan to throw on the 210s when I sit for dawn/dusk. If I do head up for rifle I will layer with some Ice Breakers and maybe switch to North Branch pants. Just out of curiosity, did you try the Kanabs while you were there?

FL Guide vs Attack is a tough one. Something else to consider is trying out suspenders over a belt, which i possible on FL, but not included with the guides (extra $15). They are a hair too short for me (I'm very tall in the torso), but I may try the Kryptek ones as they look like they will fit the pants and will hopefully have a little more length.

I did try the Kanab 2.0's just to see what all the rage has been about. They are still not for me. Once you get used to having pants that stretch you just can't go back to fighting your pants every step and wasting that energy. I had size L on and they fit ok not great but would bind near the top of my step each time. Thighs were big enough on this version and they didn't feel like they were eating my backside on this version either. Still couldn't bring myself to enjoy fighting for each step with the pants when its hard enough to overcome the mountain each step.

Okay, so I finally got my 210 bottoms and boy do they fit like crap. I sized up as recommended and they fit in the waist and upper thighs fine which is where I was concerned, but I can't get them over my calves or lower thighs which I almost never have problems with. Do I really have this absurdly large legs that I can't even fit with a size up? I don't even have problems in the calf with the FL Corrugate Guides as some have said, so I can only imagine that these people have bigger calves and am interested to here if anyone else has run into this issue.

Same here with the 210. Way too tight on calfs and too short on the legs. The 145s fit ok, but the 210s going back. Love the material but hate the sizing.
