KS Resident Elk Draw

Just in case anyone else was wondering when the KS resident elk draw results would be out, i asked the biologist and got the following response... "they hope to do the draw the 7th. It will take about a week to contact successful applicants to make sure they accept, and it should be wrapped up with unsuccessful applicants posted by the 14th. Good luck!"

For those of you that have been at it for awhile and getting a little discouraged don't give up. In Nebraska we also have the tough OIL elk draw. I started applying in 1986 the first year of the modern day season finally drew in 2021. I was getting discouraged as well it was worth the wait as I think your Kansas tag will be when you draw it. In the mean time enjoy hunting the neighbors to the West if you can . I hope you guys are able to draw and enjoy your hunt in the next few years. Best of Luck!

Our herd needs new/fresh genetics, they are showing signs of inbreeding. I am headed to Wyoming for a self guided cow hunt with a friend in November. That is a nice bull you got.
