Hi,
I bought a Kryptek Merino 1/4 Zip this spring for September Elk Hunting. I absolutely shredded it, and emailed Kryptek just wondering if my experience was typical. I have run Icebreaker in the past with no issues, so I wondered if printing Camo on wool hurts its durability. Anyhow, I never got any response from Kryptek so I was hoping maybe some of you would have some thoughts. I will paste my email to Kryptek below.
P.S. a litttle disappointed they didn't at least respond to my email. Definitely inferior customer service.

Hi,
I bought one of your 100% Merino camo 1/4 zips this spring. I absolutely loved it after the initial smell wore off. In the past I had worn either a poly top or icebreaker merino. I loved having my merino camo as it made it much more functional for a bow hunter.
The question I had was about the expected durability of wool. I only wire this during September elk season, but it is completely thrashed. My wife had to patch it just to hold it together. Did I get a lemon, or is it not really meant to wear as an outer layer at all? It always started the day as my base layer, but when it warmed I would often wear as a stand alone garment.
I will attach some photos to show what I am taking about, and would appreciate any feedback. Also does camo hurt the durability of wool versus a plain color? Thanks!
