My brother and I took some gear over to our mom's shipping store today so we could use the shipping scales since they are closed on Sundays. We weighed a bunch of our gear to add to our list of weights.

A few Kryptek items,

Kryptek Merino top size large 10.6 oz.
Kryptek Cerdic Hoodie II size medium 14.6 oz.
Kryptek Kratos Jacket size medium 17.9 oz.

i Went and weighed all of my stuff also earlier last week. Exen though I am an XL and a L depending what is is my stuff was very close to yours in terms of weight. The posiden Rain Gear for an XL was 12.9 and 11.9 doing final gear checks/weights right now before leaving this week

I have one official complaint on the merino top.

The inside logo at the neck sticks to you when you sweat.

Deal breaker. Lol

I didn't notice that but I hardly hike at all with a long sleeve shirt on. I did put it on Friday night as I was almost to the top of the first pass and the wind was really cold. I was surprised how well it blocked the wind. When I got to the top and sat down to glass, I put all three tops on and dried my hiking shirt while wearing it. These three tops make a pretty versatile system. (With a short sleeve for hiking)

On a side note I also wore my wet Smartwool socks to bed in my quilt and awoke with warm, dry feet. My down quilt and Tigoat bivy seem to breath really well. I'm really happy with my shelter so far this year.

The TiGoat will breathe, within reason!! I have experienced a damp footbox before. Make sure you give your sleeping bag a chance to air out during the day.
