Not often I get a 23 degree morning in Florida. Place I’m at now is really a pm spot, but I wanted to try out this jacket and some pants that will be going to Alaska next fall. Have on a mid weight 100% merino and jacket. 100% warm in 5-10 mph breeze. Jacket also light. But good lord the noise in shoulders. With every breath my ears lose track of what’s happening around me. Irritating.

I don’t think it’ll spook game, but irritating as Hunter.

Vellus gloves top notch.

I've got a lot of friends and family back in Florida, super cool to see you got out for the cold weather. Is deer still open in north Florida? Waterfowl?

Hahaha sounds about right! I grew up hunting central Florida (Green swamp, Three Lakes, Ocala NF). I still have very mixed feelings of those swampy, challenging conditions, sometimes overcrowded lands. Lots of good memories.

If you can consistently see public land deer in Florida, you can kill them anywhere. No doubt about it. I know.
