I have a couple of Kriega packs that I wear for motorcycle riding and have been considering using for hunting. These packs are pretty cool because they are really comfortable, hug the back nicely, and once they are adjusted you just clip them on, no tightening shoulder straps and all that. I'm thinking that they would be good for use as hydro packs with a little food and supplies for up to a 4 hour trip. Certainly not for pack in hunts and overnighters and probably not for game hauling but as a hydro pack it could be a win. I have an Eberlestock Mini-me that I like but the shoulder straps need to be tightened/adjusted everytime I put it on and then there are long straps leftover (cannot bring myself to cut them shorter). The other cool part of these packs is shoulder straps slide into the pack to adjust instead of the traditional pull down to tighten them. This eliminates any loose strap hanging down. They remain secure even without a waist belt. They do use cordura and ripstop and they are all black and come in 15L to 30L sizes and hydro bladder capable.
