KRG Echo - Sporterish version of bravo for tikkas

I personally like the Echo. I have never had a Bravo so no comparisons there but this setup has worked well so far. The forend does have some flex but with my barrel it has not given me any issues. I find it very easy to get behind and into position.

Looks great. How did you do those paint designs?? What caliber as well. I have a 7mm-08. Thinking of getting an echo as well. Or Rokstok. Thanks.

I used a stencil kit from freedom stencils. It’s a 22 creed.

I shot mine a good bit Saturday after a local match. It’s a 308 Roughtech I had loaded up with 168’s.Hornady Black. That rifle loves that ammo. I didn’t notice any vibration, but the first shot was a reminder I wasn’t shooting my .223 match gun. The Echo was easy to control shooting off a barricade. If I could find a reliable 10 round mag that fit, I would shoot a match with

Does anyone have issues getting mags out? A couple o have to poke from the top through the ejection port.

There's 2 screws by the captive front action screw that holds the front of the bedding block in.... if those are too tight they can pinch the mag and make it hard to take out

...lol. Actually when I first got the stock I dutifully pulled all the screws out of the entire stock and degreased and paint penned them all. The front 2 screws seemed really loose so I tightened them right up and couldn't get a mag into the stock. So I slowly backed them off until the mag would go in and latch properly.

Something to note. The Echo I believe was designed around tikka mags but is not a 1:1 copy of tikkas bottom metal dimensions. Some things are different, when using after market mags i notice the tikka factory bottom metal works better, something to keep in mind. The echo seems to work well with the factory mags for me. Its too bad they didnt follow the tried and true bravo with a perfect copy of the factory tikka bottom metal.

I had an Echo briefly. Sad to say, KRG missed the mark with it. Excellent ergonomics. And easier to carry / less bulky for field use than a Bravo. However, the recoil impulse is just bad. I didn’t have any vibrations, but it exaggerated recoil. The felt recoil on my 223 was more in the Echo than in my Stocky’s VG, and the Stocky’s is quite a bit lighter.

Mine pop out no issue. Sometimes I have to wiggle it around to get it to seat and lock in though.

There is a ton of adjustments that one can make with the Echo and Bravo and they don’t really cover it in the instructions. In my experience you can email them and ask questions. Sometimes you get help sometimes they act like it’s common knowledge and you’re a doofus for asking.

Otherwise I enjoy the stock. I just wish it was a bit lighter.

No, following that I had a Bravo for a short time as well. Way better recoil impulse. However, with a standard AICS mag setup, and the bulkiness of the whole chassis, I carried it for a 6 mile day hunt and sold it, as it wasn’t near as easy to carry as something like a vertical grip stock, or probably an Echo for that matter.

I got this because @KickinNDishin has a bravo chassis for both her rifles; a Vanguard and a Tikka. The second Tikka we got recently I have long action factory mags and a 30-06 barrel among a few others. The goal is/was to have it be my second rifle that she could use without any feel adjustment just by matching LOP.

I used it on a 22creed yesterday and feeding was wonky as well as the magazine seating. I need to put it in the factory stock and see if feeding is still wonky as I don't know if it is a mismatch with cartridge/LA mag/feed ramp, or just in the Echo.

My own vanguard rides in a stocks VG, so I may just send the echo back to midway and throw it in a stockys.

Ok. I rarely carry my rifle in my hand. Just before the moment of truth. Otherwise it's strapped to my pack. So should be a non issue. What was your set up in the Bravo? Curious to a finished weight with optics.

I was just a hair over 10lbs with this setup. Weight could definitely be shaved. The RS1.2 is 26+ ounces, and my suppressor is almost 12 ounces.

I don’t normally either, but that day I didn’t have a very functional rifle carrier on my pack, so I had to carry lol. I did have it in the carrier some, but that was a pain too since I didn’t have the whole setup. (A really dumb story about me being an idiot and not having my gear in order ahead of time)
