After years of pin & weld 300 BLK bolt guns, I’m finally just going to do it right and SBR a Tikka. My CZ 527 is great but I want something as short as I can get it and I’d like to put it in a KRG bravo.

Before I order a barrel can someone with experience please tell me the minimum barrel length for a Tikka T3x to clear the KRG Bravo forend to mount a silencer? Or to take measurements from the action face to end of forend?

From research online it seems to be 9-10” but I want to be sure. I have lots of chassis/stocks but no KRG bravo to measure.

Thanks!

From the end of the action- you have 8.75” to the end of the forend.

Here is a 14.2 inch barrel with OG suppressor on the Stockys. Here are picks with a Bravo and Tikka factory stocks that are too long. I have a KRG Xray with a shorter forend that fits.

Interesting to know that the xray has a shorter forend… I have an tikka in a KRG xray that I might swap out with a Bravo and use. Awesome input guys thanks!
Sorry, I was going off memory. They are the same. And, they are just like 1/8 too long.

I have a 12.5” .223 Wylde also. The barrels were oops when ordered. I had an extra $50 credit from Silencer Shop to do it, so thought why not SBR a Tikka, lol. My 22 creed is a favorite now.

Got this chassis of the classifieds for the .223 now. Probably will cut a factory Tikka stock for it.

Very nice and good barrel length for 223. Confirmed on my xray that it’s the same which is so helpful to have something in front of me to plan with.

Now am I crazy for wanting to cut/mill a Bravo to 6.5” so it’s just in front of the front forend screws? I don’t care about spigot for this one.

Do it!

I want a light .223, so I think I will start with factory stock. Won’t need to worry about stock stiffness.

With the OG6.5 or the 4” Realer and reflex hub, I will have to cut it back a bunch. The exposed barrel will be about 8” long.
