Kowa users eye cup question. 884 TE-11WZ

Hey guys I just upgraded my spotting scope go to Kowa 88mm with the 25-60 eyepiece. The eyecup has some play in it. Is that normal? My Razor has a much tighter eyecup. I don’t think it will be a deal breaker but just wanted to know if it’s faulty or normal.

I have a new Kowa and a newer Razor. The Razor eyepiece is not overly stiff and the Kowa is not overly loose. Do you mean side to side play? Mine seems just about right.

Ya if I grab the eyepiece I can move it up down, side to side.

Ya mine doesn’t rattle but will move if I’m attaching a tinesup adapter.

it should be screwed down when attaching the adapter. Mine pushes in too if I try to install the adapter with the eyecup in the up position. I just checked mine again. Ti has some side to side slop when in the up position but not in the down position. it has 3 distinct detentes between all the way down and all the way up.

Ok that is how mine is too. Thanks man I appreciate your replies. I don’t know anyone around me that has a Kowa so there’s no way of chating to see what’s normal.

Glad to help. It is a great scope. At the end of the month there will be a nice fitted stay on neoprene case available for it. I plan to get one for mine sooner than later.

Glad to help. It is a great scope. At the end of the month there will be a nice fitted stay on neoprene case available for it. I plan to get one for mine sooner than later.

Made by Kowa. I emailed Kowa USA and he replied it would be available at the end of the month.
