Kowa 774 w 30X (Kowa TE-17W) DigiScope options

Hey Crew,

Super happy to finally able to have something to post about here. I just acquired a Kowa 774 used that has a 30X fixed eyepiece. Im wondering what others are running for digiscope on this "older" eyepiece. At the moment i am stuck with the 30X vs upgrading to the 25-60 but sounds like its a great eyepiece none the less. I am leaning towards either On-Glass on Mountain Mag, also open to ollin - but I wanted to check here if anyone had any fitment experience beforehand. I don't really see the TE-17W listed on either site and I believe they are a slightly smaller diameter. Thanks very much!

Kowa is one of the very few optics manufacturers that actually provides some documentation for this: Kowa Optic Diameters

I’ll update this thread when I get the mountain mag. Ordered a few days ago. I will say, for anyone researching the 774 KOWA. Wow. What an incredible optic. For the same price ( in Canada) for going the anthlon chronus route, I got this 774 with a 30x direct from Japan that is edge to edge clear. Colors or crisp and the double focus makes zeroing in on things almost second nature. It took me maybe 1 afternoon to feel at home with this scope.. I feel like if you don’t mind a little weight ( comparable to chronus) you get alpha glass ( ish) removable eyepiece and really beautiful build. Who care about warranty when you buy a brick s**t house.

Just updating for future users. The mountain mag works perfectly on the 774 with the 30x. It’s the TSN 55/66/77/88/99. The mag is incredible. So nice with the 30x as my iPhone 15 has the optic zoom which works great with the MM. big thanks to Bruce at epoch outdoors!
