Other than the kowa cover which looks heavy and bulky. What have you guys found works well for a kowa 773. I'm currently running a old sock lol

reviving this. besides the cordura bulky cover that Kowa makes, are there any better alternatives to protect the angled kowa 773 spotter? I do not want bulky since I use it for backpack hunts.

I'm still sticking with my Spot Slicker - works well and is waterproof. Very light.

I used an optix armor stx 65 case when I had a kowa 77. I liked it the best out of all the cases I tried.

I have a Kowa 554. I had some old wetsuits lying around and just cut a piece of the arm and one from the leg off and slide it over. Has worked really well for me and took about 5 min to make. IMG_5766.jpg

All I have to say in the subject is: ARMOR YOUR SPOTTERS!!

If I would of had neoprene on this, I doubt it would have cracked. Definitely would have dented but would have probably saved me the trip back to kowa for assessment to see if they can repair it or if I’m out my body on my 88mm.

Long story longer, I took a nasty tumble with the spotter and tripod in my hand and thankfully this is the worst of it.
