Kiliuda Bay just south of Kodiak had deer. It was enough to be picky. I just got back on 10/31 - several 3x3s taken. I’m pictured on the right. The weather was 40s and 50s.

Congrats and nice deer! What were the bears like? Some other groups reporting lots of bear encounters.

AKBorn we saw bears everyday. The most part they mind their own business. Most bears in Kodiak are still afraid of humans. Although I did hear of a mauling on Afognak the same time we were there.

So far killed 8 bucks and lost 7 of them. All young bears cruising the beaches and hitting meat piles. Plenty of deer around weather has been warm. Storm is on its way for a day or two now but otherwise it’s still pretty nice down here.

BRWNBR is a guide, he is talking about his client's deer they have taken.

3 deer, on the Kodiak road system you can shoot 1 deer.

Necromancing this thread for those of us planning to head to the island this fall. Anyone got any intel from goat hunting or flying around this spring regarding the central Kodiak area?
