Curious on opinions for a tent for my dad and I for hunting. I would like space to accomodate up to four guys but most often will be only us two. We will mainly be hunting mule deer in Western ND/SD with some trips to Montana/Wyoming.

We will be setting up next to truck. Likely will be heating with buddy heater not wood stove.

I'm wondering what folks opinions are between the flex bow (ease of set-up) vs. cabin lodge (more spacious) for our use case?

I also see they have both a PFAS free option, does anyone know about performance differences between their traditional option and PFAS free option.

I have a 10x14 flexbow, great tent. One guy can set it up, comfortable for two guys, can make it work with three guys, crowded in my opinion. If you want to use a wood stove you have to have a stovejack installed in the flexbow. The cabin lodge series is set up for a stove. It came out the year after I bought my flexbow, otherwise I would have bought it, since it fits my needs better.

I have a 10 x 10 deluxe flexbow. Awesome tent, easy to set up, 2 guys easy. My brother has a huge Alaknak and it's great but takes forever to set up and take down. A 10 x 14 would be ok for the occasional 4 man group. I don't have a need for a stove. No idea on the PFAS. I looked at the cabin lodges but the flexbow fit my needs better.

Funny. I was just comparing the two with my wife the other day. I think for ease of use, a flex bow will fit our needs with the odd trip she comes out and weekenders with the little kids.

I think the 10x14’ flex bow with a diesel heater would be a pretty skookum set up.

I just used my 10x14 flexbow two weeks ago, for the first time. We had three guys and small table. It didn't feel too cramped. Four guys would be tight but possible if all you want to do is sleep in there.

One night there were high winds and rain and it handled up with no problem. I set it up myself in under 15 mins using drill in stakes.

I have the 10x14. We fit 4 cots in it this year but it is fairly tight. It is perfect for 2 people and plenty good for 3. I have thought about getting a cabin style for more room but most of the time my basecamps are only 2-3 people. The ease of set up of the flex-bow can't be overlooked... I don't tend to stay put for more than a few days at a time so I like that I can break it down and throw it back up quickly. If you are the type that for sure will be basecamping for several days at a time then the cabin option may be worth the extra space and set up time. For warmth in my flex bow I use a buddy heater and it is plenty warm.

I own both. The flexbow is by far easier to setup and offers more sleeping area.

The cabin tent is nice having the covered “porch area” but there’s times I don’t always need it.

With just two of you the flexbow would be a palace.
