Kodiak Canvas 10x10 with wood stove?

I'm thinking about adding a wood stove to my 10x10 Kodiak Canvas and am wondering if anyone has successfully done this. I'm currently running a buddy heater but would much prefer a stove that will dry our gear out in the evenings.

I am thinking about putting it in the middle (albeit blocking 1 door) so that I can put a cot on either side and still have some room in the center.

Many posts suggest that putting a stove jack straight through the ceiling is ill advised but am curious if anyone has successfully done this.

What's been your experience with the kodiak 10x10?

Not a Kodiak tent, but I have successfully added a second stove jack to a canvas tent. I got tired of fighting drafting issues going out the side, so I went top.

I added a stove jack straight up through the ceiling on my Kodiak 10x10. I did it to have more pipe inside the tent to capture more heat. I use a Nuway propane stove. I put a side jack on the wall of my 10x14 previously. Wasn’t happy with the heat loss only having a short section of pipe inside the tent.

That looks awesome and great pics, thanks for sharing. Did you have any issues with the stove jack and maintaining the integrity of the ceiling?

I've read about people not wanting to go straight up as the ceiling is under tension from the spring bars.

Have you ran into any issues since adding the stove jack?

Lastly, Did you add the stove jack when it was fully set up or when it was taken down?

I have not had any issues with the ceiling jack. The roof is under tension, but not that much where I installed the jack. I am happy with the roof jack so far. More than the sidewall jack in my other tent. Also, I haven't used my 10x10 that much so far. I have a 10x14 Kodiak, 10x10 Kodiak, 2-man dome, and I converted an enclosed trailer to a camper. I pick and chose which one to use depending on the trip. So I can't give a lot of long-term feedback on the roof jack yet.

I added the jack with the tent fully set up. Those pics were right after installation. Set it up and lay out your camp setup. That way you can see exactly where you want everything. Only takes a few minutes to install the actual jack. Let the glue dry and your set.
