Knee pads- which ones?

Looking for a new set of knee pads, was using large foam ones from Home depot and then Sitka timberline built ins. I want something hard and stable though. What are you all using?

I wear core4element element pants. They have the built in pockets for their foam knee pads. I like them a lot. I wouldn't want to use hard knee pads myself, but to each his own.

P.S. camofire has their element pants on sale today, along with other core4 stuff.

Foam ones from Lowes for me, cost only $5 and weight less than 2oz. Work great if you're not hunting desert country or something similar were you can get stuck in the knee from a cactus or some other sort of plant.

My Sitka pants have them but I did get a pair of knee pads from lowes. One important accessory for hunting.

My foam ones are big and slip. Gotten tired of the Sitka ones, especially when its hot and I dont want to wear the thicker timberline pants. Plus when I was climbing after a MD last year I slipped and smacked my knee square on a rock and those thin foams pads proved inadequate.

I haven't used them much yet but plan to more. I would think you would want a comfortable pair to wear any time you are actively hunting. To me the big advantage would be on a stalk when you need to quickly and quietly kneel down to prep for a shot or to call in an animal. Too many times have I knelt in the past only to somehow find the only sharp stick or rock in the forest right under my knee.

I wear them all the time. Protects if I slip and make it easier to stalk on my hands and knees or shoot. Similar to what colonel00 said

This X2... Especially archery hunting but they're nice for kneeling down to look through a spotter too

I wear them most of the time. If you invest in a good pair, you won't hardly notice them being on and you'd be surprised the things you can do quickly without having to worry about your knees slamming into rocks or getting prickers in them...

This!!!!

My Sitka pants came with knee pads. I usually take them out for elk hunting but they are awesome for antelope hunting. That cactus only seems to grow where I want to place my knee on a stalk.
