Klymit Insulated Static V Pad

Guys you get what you pay for. I spend about 60 nights a year either back pack hunting or backpacking. I've owned the Klymit, Exped Synmat 7 and now Hyperlite, Several Big Agness pads including the Q-Core SL,, both the Thermarest X-Lite and X-Therm. My opinion for what its worth is the klymit is heaviy and low r-value, when comapred to a Big Agnes Q-cCore SL,or the X-Therm. Any of those mats are very good. Yes they may cost a little more but when running a quilt you need that R-Value underneath you.

Gobbler is dead on when using quilts!

Jimmy,

Are you sure you're not referring to the standard Static V pad?

Insulated Klymit V - 25oz - 4.4 R-value
Insulated Klymit V2 - 19oz - 4.4 R-value
Big Agnes Q-Core SL - 23oz - 4.5 R-value
X-Therm - 20oz - 5.7 R-value

My main concern was the welded through areas and heat loss. But the R-value should account for that right?
