How is the sizing on the First Lite Klamath hoody? I am 5'9", about 180 lbs. with a 40"-41" chest. I am planning on wearing it over a Llano. I am guessing a medium would be best. Am I correct?

I’m 5’ 11” 160 lbs 39-40” chest and a medium fits me well. I’d go large if I were you.

It’s a slim, athletic fit but I wouldn’t call it tight. It’s not like Under Armour tight but definitely not any extra fabric bagging out anywhere

I normally wear an XL and mine fits good. Was able to include another layer underneath with room to spare.

I'm 5'10" 178lbs and wear a small Halstead with plenty of room to layer underneath. I'm curious as to how the Klamath fits as well.

The Klamath is a more athletic/trim fit than the Halstead. I have both. If you want them to fit the same I’d size up on the Klamath.

I heard from First Lite and they recommended I order medium so that is what I am doing. I will advise on the fit when I receive it.

Probably be a week or two before I get my hands on it. Ordered with no special shipping so won't arrive until next week at the earliest. I will be gone for work so it will probably be another week before I see it.

Im practically your size (5'-9", 180lbs, 41" chest) and the large fits me good. arms are a little long but wrist is tight enough to not slide down. I definitely don't think the large is to big.

Got the Klamath in. Ordered size medium and it fits well for my purposes. Quickly tried it on with just a regular t-shirt underneath (would normally wear a long sleeve Llano underneath) and here are my observations. I wanted a tight fit for a second layer the chest is perfect (I am about 40"-41" chest). The arm length is good on me with a little bunching at the wrists but nothing to be concerned with. The arms are on the tighter side but not so tight that they cause a problem. I prefer the tighter arm for layering over it. The hood is awesome. The only small knock is the shoulder area is slightly tight but not enough for me to go up another size. If you are close to my size a medium will give a tight but not constricting fit. A large would allow multiple layers underneath but will probably have longer arms.

I'm 5' 8" and 175 lbs and I have a Medium. It's an athletic fit to the point I would say that if it was any tighter I would say it is too tight for me. It's about perfect. I would say that you are just on the outer edge of a Medium. I'm slightly broad shouldered and have about a 42" chest and it fits me well and I don't like things that fit too tight. It would be too tight if I was going to try and fit another 200 weight layer underneath though. The length is good also at my height. I've never tried on a Large so it would be tough to say how lose (if at all) that would fit on you.

All you dudes are like 20+ pounds heavier than me and I feel like if I gained 20 pounds I would have to grease myself up to get into my medium. Mine fits very trim and athletic. I can fit a merino base under it and that’s it. I’m starting to think they altered the sizing. I bought my Klamath right when they came out.

I'm 5'11, 184. Ordered the medium and it was a little tight(not base layer tight) and short for my liking. Large fits me perfectly, and comfortable as a mid layer.
