My Subalpine in .300 Win mag shoots right at 1/2 MOA with Barnes 190 LRX factory ammo. It shoots right at 2.5" at 500 yards and its sub 1/2" at 100 yards. No modifications at all from factory. I'm a reloader and picked up the ammo just to try and to get brass and it shot them so well that I just bought a few boxes and left it alone. I sighted it in for an elk hunt with the brake on it and never shot it without brake. Got to camp and shot 2 times without brake and it was about 2-2.5" low compared to shooting with the brake on. I didn't mess with it and put the brake back on hunted with it.

This is my first Kimber and I'm pleased.

Your SubAlpine came with a brake?

No. It was purchased after the fact. Mine did come threaded with a thread protector though.
