I guess any rifle can be a stinker.

Had a MA in 300wsm. It was picky on ammo, but ended up being a shooter with nosler factory ammo. It was my go-to for several years. Killed 2 elk, 1 Mule deer and a bunch of meat whitetail. I sold it to a buddy who really wanted it circa 2019, he's still using it.

Myself and my BIL played Kimber MTN Ascent roulette and won. If you are looking for ultralight, this is the easy button. Both rifles are well under 1” shooters at 100. I went with the 7-08 (discontinued) and he went with the 300 Win Mag. Here mine is in sheep hunt configuration. I took it off the diet this year and added a more robust scope, and the Sycthe Ti. Re did load development and ended up with Varget winning against H4350. 150 long range Accubond at 2740 with the AB custom curve is dead on at 657 yards. Planning to use it as my primary this year. I place temp stability over speed hence the Varget. RL17 will push the 140 Accubond into tiny little groups at almost 2900 in this rifle.
